Privacy Policy
As a travel agency operating under Japan’s Travel Agency Act, Big Holiday International Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) complies with laws and other regulations concerning the protection of personal information of customers obtained through our offices, website, and other channels. To ensure the secure storage and protection of such personal information, the Company has established the following policy and will implement and maintain it.
Purpose of Use of Personal Information
- To implement this policy, the Company has established internal regulations for the protection of personal information. The Company is committed to the continuous improvements of the proper handling of the personal information of customers and business partners by its employees (including officers, regular employees, part-time staff, and temporary workers), and ensures that such practices are thoroughly communicated and implemented. Use of customers’ personal information is limited to the extent necessary for the smooth provision of travel services, and access is restricted to personnel involved in such services.

The Company uses personal information provided when customers request travel materials or submit application forms, within the scope necessary for the following purposes:
(1) Conclusion of travel contracts with customers
(2) Communication with customers
(3) Arrangements with transportation, accommodation, and meal service providers and other service providers (including agents, where necessary), and procedures for the receipt of such services.
In addition, personal information provided in questionnaires and similar materials, such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses, may be used, within the minimum scope necessary, for market analysis aimed at developing improved travel products and for providing information on travel products and services, as well as for the following purposes. Such use may be discontinued at the customer’s request.

(2) Information on travel products and services
(3) Information on campaigns and products or services offered by partner organizations and companies that may be of interest to customers
(4) Preparation of statistical data
(5) Facilitating procedures for future travel applications
Handling of Personal Information
- The Company will provide the customer’s name, contact details, age and other necessary information to transportation, accommodation, meal service providers, as well as agents responsible for arrangements (only where necessary), for the purpose of arranging travel services requested by the customer. In addition, the Company may use customers’ personal information for market analysis aimed at developing improved travel products and for providing travel-related information.
- To prevent loss, destruction, alteration, or leakage of personal information, the Company has established a security policy and implements appropriate information security measures, including measures against unauthorized access and computer viruses.
- The Company acquires personal information by lawful and fair means and does not obtain it through improper methods. The Company obtains the individual’s consent regarding the purpose of use or notifies the necessary matters on its website.
- If personal information is obtained indirectly, the Company confirms that the provider has properly obtained such information from the individual concerned, puts in place necessary contractual arrangements, and notifies the necessary matters regarding its use on the Company’s website.
- The Company confirms that customers have the right to request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, and other actions with respect to their personal information. The Company will respond to such requests within a reasonable scope after verifying the identity of the customer.
- If personal information is entrusted to a third party for the purpose of outsourcing operations, the Company will investigate the contractor, enter into necessary agreements, and take other measures required by applicable laws.
- In connection with accidents occurring during a customer’s travel, the Company may provide relevant information for police investigations and may disclose personal information in response to requests from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or other government agencies.

The following practices are prohibited in the collection and handling of personal information:
(1) Providing personal information to third parties, in principle, other than for the purposes described above.
(2) Using personal information for purposes other than those intended, removing it from its usual place of use, or disclosing it through transmission to external parties.
(3) Employees of the Company shall not disclose to third parties any personal information obtained in the course of their duties or use such information for improper purposes. The same obligations shall continue to apply after employees leave their positions, and necessary measures shall be implemented.
(4) The Company does not collect, use or provide personal information containing the following:
(4-1) Information relating to an individual’s thoughts, beliefs or religion.
(4-2) Race, ethnicity, family origin, domicile (excluding information relating to their location in Japan), physical or mental disabilities, criminal history, or other matters that may lead to social discrimination.
(4-3) Matters relating to workers’ rights to organize, collective bargaining, and other collective actions.
(4-4) Participation in collective demonstrations, the exercise of the right to petition, and other political rights.
(4-5) Information relating to health care or sexual activities.
Procedures for Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc.
The Company will provide guidance on the necessary procedures for customers who wish to request disclosure of their personal data held by the Company, correction, addition or deletion of its content, suspension of its use, erasure, or suspension of its provision to third parties. For such requests, please contact the inquiry desk below.
Upon receiving such requests, the Company will take the necessary measures without delay in accordance with applicable laws and internal regulations.
If the Company is unable to comply with all or part of a request, the reasons will be explained. Please note that the Company may request verification of your identity prior to taking such measures.
